TERMS & CONDITIONS
Client: The Client is the person who makes the booking and take responsibility for all other passenger in their party.
Operator (Prima-Port Douglas Transfers): The Operator is an independent private transfers service provider registered in Australia.
Booking & Fares
Bookings Only: We are a prebooked hire service only.
All bookings are confirmed once full payment has been received.
Once the booking is confirmed The Client have entered a contract with PRIMA-Port Douglas Transfers and will abide by these T&C.
Invoices: Digital invoices are available for every trip upon request.
GST included.
Booking fees are not included.
Prices are per vehicle.
Office hours are from 6am to 6pm.
After hours and Public Holidays may subject to penalty rates ($50).
Prices do not include Daintree Ferry fees nor fees to other tourist attractions.
Passenger Conduct
Safety First: Seatbelts must be always worn by all passengers.
Zero Tolerance: Smoking, vaping, and the consumption of alcohol or illegal substances are strictly prohibited.
Right of Refusal: Drivers reserve the right to refuse or terminate service if a passenger is aggressive, intoxicated, or poses a safety risk.
Travel Insurance Recommendation
Clients are strongly encouraged to hold travel insurance covering cancellations, illness, or unforeseen disruptions.
Cancellations & Delays
The Client needs to ensure that the phone number given on the booking form is operational and works in Australia otherwise The Operator won’t be able to contact you.
The Client should check is mobile phone for messages made by The Operator on arrival.
Airport Transfers
Cancellations and amendments must be made by The Client in writing 24 hours prior scheduled pick up for a total refund.
Refunds are processed to the original payment method within 7 days.
No Refund on cancellations made within 24 hours of the scheduled pickup.
A ‘no-show’ occurs when:
The waiting period has expired (30 minutes for domestic flights or 1 hour for international flights), The Client is unreachable and No notice of delay has been received.
In these cases, the full fare will be charged, and the booking is considered completed.
Weddings & other Events:
NO refund if the Client cancelled prior 7 days of the actual event.
Cancellation is treated on base-to-base situations. The Operator will always try to work out the best possible solution for both parties involved.
If The Operator cancel a booking due to weather, road closures, safety concerns, or unforeseen operational issues, The Client will be offered an alternative date or full refund.
The Operator will not be liable for additional costs (e.g., flights, accommodation, or other bookings).
The Operator reserve the right to use a different transfer operator fully registered in exceptional circumstances.
Your Rights & Safety
Security: For your safety, vehicles may be equipped with approved security cameras and GPS tracking.
Driver Standards: All drivers hold valid Queensland Driver Authorisations and have undergone criminal history checks.
Cleaning & Damage Fees
In Queensland, passengers are liable for any mess that makes a vehicle inappropriate for the next user. As of 2026, the following maximums and tiers are standard:
Cleaning Fees: A professional cleaning fee (of $ 150) applies for any soiling or damage to the vehicle.
Luggage & Personal Property
Luggage quantity is restricted to 1 large luggage and 1 carry-on luggage per person.
Passengers are responsible for their own luggage. The Operator accept no liability for lost or damaged items left in the vehicle. A handling/return fee may apply if we are required to return lost property to you.
Car Child Seats
Child or booster seats are available on request at no extra charges.
It is the responsibility of The Client to give The Operator notice at the time of the booking.
Privacy & Data Collection
The Operator will collect personal data (name, contact, location) solely to facilitate The Client booking. By using our service, The Client consent to GPS tracking for safety purposes and audio/visual recording if the vehicle is fitted with an approved security camera system (Essential for compliance with the Privacy Act 1988 and Queensland's specific security camera signage laws).
Liability & Insurance
Prima-Port Douglas Transfers has extensive third-party insurance coverage.
We strongly recommend that Client should take out their own holiday insurance.
Prima-Port Douglas Transfers will take no responsibility for those who are not covered by.
Our liability is limited to the extent required by the Australian Consumer Law.
Prima-Port Douglas Transfers is not liable for delays caused by traffic, weather, or mechanical failure beyond our control, motorway accident or heavy rain, which are common "Force Majeure" events in Queensland.
